Bill is the Founder of HEMS Technology and has over 15 years experience in the utility market and RF systems. He brings a wealth of electronics experience in digital radios both as a communications systems officer in the US Army and later as an engineer working at Northern Telecom’s (NORTEL) wireless division. He was product and technical engineer at RAMAR Technologies, an Automated Meter Reading (AMR) startup radio company to the utility industry. While there he was part of the development team in wide area fixed radio network / mobile radio network for automated meter reading.
Bill has also owned and managed a successful advertising and marketing company which he later sold. He has held positions of CEO, General Manager, Vice President, Product/R&D Manager and Marketing Director.
Bill’s leadership and management experience dates to his command positions within the US Army. As a military commander, he led a company of over 400 men and women with twenty million dollars worth of real estate and resources. Bill is a graduate from the University of Maryland where he obtained his Masters in Business Administration. He has written articles on Home Automation and Smart Grid which were published in Metering International Magazine and is a contributor to EnergyCentral.
